A useful website for understanding the Quran….

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

Assalamu Alaikum.

Here’s an incredibly useful website, just brimming with information:

http://understandquran.com/

It offers free short courses for one to understand the short surahs (chapters) of the Quran as well as some of the adhkar (remembrances) that are recited in the prayer. Some of the resources have been translated into various languages.

They also have loads of other stuff.

The course might require one to be able to read Arabic but I think that if the audio component is used, one could still benefit from the classes.

Assalamu Alaikum.

For those who want a proper course on how to read Arabic so that you can read the Quran, here’s a nice (free) course from the Islamic Online University (IOU).

Here’s how you can take the class:

1) Go to: http://www.islamiconlineuniversity.com/diploma/

2) Register for free.

3) Add the Arabic course (or any other one for that matter).

4) Start!
